EDUCATIONAL MOTIVATION OF STUDENTS IN THE PROCESS OF VOCATIONAL TRAINING

Abstract
This research is devoted to an urgent problem — the development of educational motivation of students at the first stage of their professional training. The factors of successful university education are the level of formation of independent educational and cognitive activities, the general development of the intellectual sphere, emotional maturity and personal qualities. The psychological characteristics of the formation of educational motivation of students have been empirically highlighted: first-year students demonstrate a tendency to manifest motives of learning associated with their socialization in a new environment, the implementation of interpersonal relationships in a new group, the desire to enter the leading position in the group; second-year students demonstrate a tendency for the manifestation of motives for learning associated with mastering a profession, acquiring professional knowledge and skills. Generalization and comparison of the results of diagnostics and survey makes it possible to pay attention to the following: the number of students who have the motive of «achieving success» decreases. The results of the survey indicate that the motives for learning change meaningfully: they become more professionally oriented. The presence of motivating interests determines the development of personality, it is an essential factor in motivation in learning, and building a personal plan for self-development. Prospects for further research in the chosen direction can be considered the development of psychological tools and training for the development of cognitive motivation of students at the first stages of vocational training.
