AZERBAYCAN VE RUS RESİM SANATÇISI TAHİR SALAHOV'UN YENİ İFADE BİÇİMİ OLAN SERT REALİZM TARZINDA ORTAYA KOYDUĞU ESERLERİNİN İNCELENMESİ

Tahir Salahov was born in 1928 in Baku, the capital city of Azerbaijan. He graduated from Baku Art School in 1950 on behalf of Azim Azimzade, which he gained in 1942. Tahir gained the Moscow State Academy of Fine Arts in 1951 and graduated in 1957. Tahir Salahov is the first artist to introduce the Hard realism style, which is an extension of the Social Realism style. The artist conveyed the popular and current issues of the social realism style in his works. Tahir Salahov has included forward many portraits, landscapes, figurative compositions in his innovative expression style, and included the subjects of oil and labor. In this research, the reflections of the social, political and cultural changes in the Soviet period and contemporary period on the art of the Azerbaijani and Russian painting artist Tahir Salahov were examined. At the same time, the works produced by the artist based on "socialist in meaning, national in form" were included in the research. This study is based on the effects of Tahir Salahov's period on his art between 1950 and 2020 years. In this research, the works of the artist created in the style of hard realism with a national understanding of color and form were examined. The problem of the study is the new form of expression in the context of reflecting the daily problems and lifestyle of the society with an expressive style. Descriptive analysis, one of the qualitative research methods, was used in this study. In this study, the artistic production process and activities of the artist through the literature review as a data collection tool; current publications on the subject are revealed by local and foreign sources, news and internet access. In the research, the effects of the changes that occurred during and after the Soviet Union on the artist's art and works were tried to be determined. It was found that the artist made use of elements of Azerbaijani traditions in his works. In the research, the artist's production process, his understanding of color, line and style in his works have been examined and interpreted. It has been determined that the artist has an important place in the recognition of Azerbaijani art and contributed to Azerbaijani, Russian and world art with his works. Based on this, it was determined that Tahir Salahov was an important artist in the Azerbaijani and Russian painting arts during and after the Soviet period.
