Abstract

The article describes the first discovered intramolecular cyclization of N-aryl-C-(2-phenylethynylthio and seleno) hydrazones of aldehydes (Ya.V. Zachinyaev's reaction). In this case, the corresponding 2,4,5-trisubstituted-4H-1,3,4-thia(selena)diazines are quantitatively formed. The article provides examples of the cyclization of linear products (experimental part).
