Abstract
This paper addressed the design and application of a network security paradigm based on routers and firewalls. This paper also examined network protection bugs in router and firewall network hardware, as well as threats and how to respond to them, as well as how to prevent attacks and hackers from obtaining access to the network. This paper also provides a checklist for deciding if a network adheres to industry best practises for network security and data confidentiality. The study's main aim is to protect the network from glitches, threats, attacks, programming vulnerabilities, and security policy flaws. The method of strategizing a defence strategy to protect our data and services across the computer network networks from any possible danger or unwanted access is known as network protection. It employs both software and hardware capabilities to obtain the best possible network security approach. Computing is the most pressing problem of network defence, when new forms of threats emerge every day. Nowadays, device and network stability are important concerns. There are several types of threats that can be transmitted across the network. Firewalls and security schemes are used by several companies to protect themselves from the internet. On networking infrastructures around the world, there is a vast volume of personal, commercial, military, and government knowledge, all of which necessitates various protection techniques. This paper addresses various types of threats as well as security tools that may be used depending on the network.
