Abstract
The article analyzes the originality of the extralinguistic concept of "idiostille" in art discourse, using the example of the works of F. O'Neill "The Secret Life of a Slummy Mummy" "Friends, Lovers and Other In- discretions." Idiostille is reflected in the deep mechanisms that give rise to text space, which are the result of the author's unique work. In her novels, F. O'Neill created the image of a modern young mother who sacrificed her career for the sake of a family center and raising children, in whose life there are turmoil and inconsistency of expectations and reality in relation to the difficulties of being a mother and wife at the same time. The author masterfully displayed the events and their details, leaving no one indifferent to the main character and his au- thor's style
