Abstract
Educational institutions are imparting knowledge to the society and regarded as one of the pillars of economic growth and diversification. Educational institutions contribution to make the society as knowledge based is vital and highly acknowledged. The output of educational institutions is crucial and contributory, thus the risks borne by them are at par with the level of contribution it makes for the society. Digital transformation is one the fruitful strategies to be initiated in education sector to reap maximum benefits out of using them. Education sector is widely contributing for the development and growth of an economy. The challenge for the economies is enhancing the quality of education and using the appropriate technologies in imparting education, thus it assists the labour market better. Digital transformation in Education sector is one of the key strategies to be deployed in education sector of economies to make the economy sustainable and growing. A model has been proposed for digitalizing educational services and the relative advantages and the challenges for each phase of digitalization is discussed. Digital transformation must be viewed as one of the longterm strategies of an educational institution as this process is complicated and longer in nature. Educational institutions are competing these days internationally to offer the best to students' community using various learning platforms. Digital technologies such robotics, internet of things, data analytics, artificial intelligence would be contributing extensively if used well by educational institutions. There would be challenges in implementing digital technologies as a replacement of conventional methodologies. At the same time, these challenges can be overcome in a better manner with appropriate use of digital technologies. Educational institutions, at every phase of digitalization process, must examine the challenges and develop strategies accordingly, so better output from digitalization is achievable
