POTENTIAL APPLICATION OF BLOCKCHAIN TECHNOLOGY IN AGRICULTURE IN VIETNAM

Vietnam is a country with many strengths in agriculture thanks to its long-standing development with a wide range of products; however, at present, the management of production, supply, and export processes is still a matter of concern. Along with the strong development of the industrial revolution 4.0, new technologies to improve efficiency in the agricultural field such as automation, Internet of Things (IoT), Artificial Intelligence (AI). ) and Blockchain is getting stronger and stronger. In particular, Blockchain technology in agriculture is relatively new compared to the above technologies. However, according to experts, the potential application of Blockchain will improve the ability of small companies and households in the production, processing, and supply of products. This article will focus on analyzing the trend of Blockchain technology application in the activities of traceability, supply, and sales management of agricultural products; at the same time, it gives assessments about the potential application of blockchain technology in the supply chain of Vietnamese agricultural products in the future. Research results also provide overview information to help plan future scientific management policies in agriculture.
