This research aims to question the anthropology, one of the basic scientific methodologies that Muhammad Arkoun focused on, through his critical project, to read the Sources of the Islamic Religion especially the Quranic text. Then, he tries to locate this methodology from his applied Islamism. In addition,he demonstrates the backgrounds and origins from which this methodology was derived and the foundations on which it is based. Finally, he focuses onthe horizon of the anthropological reading of the Quranic phenomenon from his perspective, and the purposes that he aspires to achieve as a result of applying that reading
