Abstract
“Educated but unemployable,” is a growing issue in our country in recent past. The graduates from various courses across the country are having tough times looking for a job, relevant to their educational degree earned and with a decent salary. Fresh Graduates entering the job market are not readily accepted by the employers as they find them devoid of required skills to efficiently perform the job. The graduates though have high grades in their final examinations and course study, fail to impress the employers in their interviews. It is because the employers are expecting graduates to acquire employability skills along-side the grades of the graduates to perform the job. Employability skills are considered crucial for the graduates to become employable and progress in their career path. There are various factors which are hindering the prospects of fresh graduate to become employable. The hurdles in acquiring the employability skills for fresh graduates can be explained through this paper from the perspective of the degree final year, conventional courses students from various colleges in and around Hyderabad region are collected.
