Abstract
Nowadays, the demand for electrical energy has been increased a lot. Electrical energy is generated in many ways. Solar energy is one of the ways to produce electrical energy which is more renewable and environmentally useful. By using the photovoltaic effect, solar energy is converted into electrical energy which is then fed to the load using dc to dc converter. The output power from the PV system is nonlinear under different atmospheric conditions. The main aim is to design and simulate the DC-to-DC converter using MPPT controller-based solar PV system in MATLAB. This paper is about verifying the output voltage from the PV system and determining the occurrence of maximum power for extracting it. The incremental conductance method is used to track the MPPT accurately under different atmospheric conditions. The final simulation model was designed and tested successfully in MATLAB and the results has to be compared with another algorithm called the P&O algorithm to show that the proposed system has better efficiency
