Psychological prediction of behavior newly arrived convicts

The paper considers the relevance of diagnosing mental states and predicting the behavior of newly arrived convicts in a correctional institution. Correctional institution for newly arrived convicts is increased difficulties of adaptation, frequent interpersonal conflicts, ill-will of the environment, rough treatment, poor living conditions, criminal subculture. The degree of influence of the above factors on the behavior of newly arrived convicts is relevant for a penitentiary psychologist.
