Psychological characteristics of convinced for crimes of extremism: theoretical aspect

The article discusses the psychological characteristics of extremism, the reasons for its occurrence from the point of view of psychology, reveals the importance of studying this problem. An analysis of scientific sources on the study of the psychological characteristics of those convicted of extremist crimes is given. A generalized characterization of the personality of a person convicted of crimes of an extremist orientation, who is in places of deprivation of liberty, is given. The features of the prevention of extremism, the possibility of corrective influence on the convict of this direction are revealed.
