THE USE OF ROLE PLAY AND SIMULATION TO DEVELOP COMMUNICATIVE COMPETENCE

The article reveals a role play and simulation as the important strategies for developing a good work- ing relationship with learners in the language teaching process. It also analyses the risks involved in running a role play and simulation and the main ways for reducing these risks. The strategies take into account knowledge and skills in a foreign language (communicative competence), time limit of a role play and effective participation with language objectives.
