Abstract
The purpose of the study was comparative study of various parameters of marketed and formulated rifampicin tablet using castor oil. Rifampicin is used as 1st line anti tubercular drug for the treatment of tuberculosis. Tablets were prepared by direct compression containing castor oil as a binder and various excipients. Both the marketed and prepared tablets were evaluated parameters such as Hardness, Thickness, Friability, Weight variation, Dissolution studies.
