Abstract

The article presents the results of a theoretical and empirical study aimed at studying the features of hardiness in older adolescents. The type of character accentuation was selected as a factor influencing the features of the manifestation of hardiness in older adolescents. Hardiness in this work is considered as a personality trait that characterizes the measure of a person's ability to withstand stressful situations, while maintaining internal balance and without reducing performance. It was used the Test Questionnaire of H. Shmishek to diagnose the type of character accentuation. The study of the manifestations of hardiness was used the methodology «Test of hardiness» by D. Leontiev, A. Rasskazova. The results of the correlation analysis between the indicators of vitality and the type of character accentuation are presented. It was presence the negative significant correlations between the majority of hardiness indicators and such types of accentuation as: stuckness, pedantry, imbalance, anxiety, hyperthymia, dysthymia, cyclothymicity, exaltation. The profiles of hardiness indicators in groups of people with different types of accentuations are considered and analyzed. It has been established that there is a certain correlation between the features of the manifestation of hardiness and accentuations in adolescents, which manifests itself in a specific combination of resilience indicators and achieved levels. It is shown that people with cyclic and exalted-emotive types of accentuation are characterized by confusion in life, the absence of personally significant goals and the meaning of life, a sense of helplessness, lack of control and influence on the results of their life events. The people with hyperthymic and hyperthymic-emotive types of accentuation are distinguished by a pragmatic attitude to all aspects of life. They are open to everything new, they are sure that everything that happens to them contributes to their development due to the knowledge gained, as well as positive and negative experience.
