Upbringing of leadership competence in the context of national and patriotic education of college students

The article is devoted to consideration of the problem of formation of leadership competence within the framework of national-patriotic education of college students. The work substantiates the relevance of education of leadership competence by means of national-patriotic education in a modern educational institution, taking into account today's living conditions and the tasks that the college must solve. The data on the main concepts of the study, in particular “leadership competence” and “national-patriotic education”, are summarized. The role of national and patriotic education and its possibilities in the process of formation of leadership competence among college students are outlined. The essence of the process of developing the leadership competence of student youth during national and patriotic education is described. It was determined that within the framework of national and patriotic education, it is possible to effectively educate college students' leadership competence. It was revealed that leadership competence education during national and patriotic education can be carried out in several ways. First of all, in the process of preparation and conducting by students of patriotic educational events, contests, educational hours, thematic evenings and events on the occasion of celebrating the holidays of the national calendar. Also during thematic meetings with famous and successful citizens of Ukraine, in particular, heroes of Ukraine, veterans, participants in hostilities, etc. It is possible quite successfully cultivate leadership competence using examples from the historical past of Ukraine, naming specific names of outstanding Ukrainian personalities and telling their stories from life. It is substantiated that student self-government and training technologies are effective means of training leadership competence in the context of national and patriotic education. It is summarized that the above methods of forming leadership competence in the context of national and patriotic education are effective, because they contribute to the development of leadership competence, leadership qualities and abilities, the expansion of leadership potential and the formation of patriotic leaders who feel love for their Motherland and are ready to actively work and build it happy future
