The Reality of Including Standards of the American National Assessment of Educational Progress (NAEP) Project for the Development of Education in Geography Books for the Upper Primary Stage in Jordan

Abstract
This study aims to identify the extent to which the standards of the American Organization for Education Evaluation are included in geography books for the upper primary stage in Jordan from the point of view of their teachers in the Education Directorate of Irbid District, by distributing a questionnaire to teachers, and there are four main themes, of the main criterion (tools). These themes included (17) paragraphs that are formulated from the standards of the American Organization for Education Evaluation, and with reference to the theoretical literature, the paragraphs were characterized by sufficient sincerity and stability to conduct the study. Their number was (109), and the sample was taken randomly, and it included (53) male and female teachers. The results of the analysis reveal shortcomings in including the standards of the American Organization for Education Evaluation in geography books in the upper primary stage. The study recommends making use of the list of standards of the American Organization for Education Evaluation, including and developing books in their light, providing schools with the material requirements necessary to use technology and modern techniques in teaching geography, training teachers on it, reviewing the general framework of the curricula, and structuring it to include geographical skills and concepts in it, taking into account the balance and integration in the book.
