Abstract

Waste petroleum oils are one of the significant sources of environmental pollution. In this regard, it is of great importance to restore the quality of used oils (regeneration) in order to reuse them. During the development of technologies for these plants, various methods of cleaning waste oil products were analyzed and a proprietary technology was developed that allows returning waste oils to operation based on physical and chemical processes. The developed installations are effective both in terms of resource saving and in terms of environmental safety. The main advantages of this technology include the following: a high practical yield of the target product from the theoretically possible one, the formation of a small amount of waste and their easy disposal, the energy intensity of the processes, etc. This regeneration technology has been implemented at some railway transport enterprises and in the future it is planned to expand and increase capacities, as well as the creation of new sites for the recovery of waste oil products.
