A study on Kazakh proverbs about thought

Proverbs have been an important part of our language and culture from the first written texts until today. Proverbs are important in terms of showing the value judgments, moral understanding, moral law and social relations of societies. It gives strength to the narrative, sounds good and stays easily in the mind. Kazakhs is one of the important tribes in the Kipchak group. In the study, Kazakh language proverbs on thought were discussed. Thought is the only element that distinguishes man from all other living things on earth. In fact, thought not only separates humans from all other living things, but also elevates them or inferior them from other humans. Because people's thoughts reflect their point of view on life and in this way, thoughts become more meaningful. Proverbs about thought, the power of thought and its role in society, the relationship between language and thought, the connection of thought and word, the importance and function of mind in the perspective of thought, language and word in communication were discussed. Proverbs in Kazakh Turkic were given in parentheses with their Turkish equivalents.
