Attention is focused on the fact that the main task of the teacher when teaching the discipline "History of Ukraine" is to create a clear system of work that contributes to: the formation of the student's national self-awareness; education of an active independent personality, a conscious citizen of Ukraine; permanent systematization and integration of acquired knowledge, identification of their connections with the national idea of Ukrainian society; the formation of faith as a particularly important phenomenon of the student's national self-awareness, thanks to which knowledge acquires practical energy and realization; the formation of the student's ideology, which prompts him to actively participate in the fateful events of the history of his native people; motivation of students to constantly engage in independent research activities on the problems of history, culture, and spirituality of their native land and people.
