Cognitive Functioning According to the Sport Practiced in Children

The aim of our research is to find out whether there is an influence of extracurricular sports activity on children's cognitive abilities. Even if there is a significant difference between the disciplines in the level of intelligence in school children. A sample of 55 athletic students, aged between 6 and 10, from primary schools in the city of Oran (Algeria). The students were followed for five school terms. Socio-demographic data was collected through a questionnaire intended for students of both groups and academic results obtained from the administration at the end of each term.
