Abstract
Epoxy-glass composites are modern construction materials with great possibilities of modifying physical and mechanical properties. The parameters of composite materials are influenced by factors such as the type of components used, manufacturing technology or the curing process. The article examines the influence of the type of epoxy resin used on the strength parameters of composites based on glass mat. Using two types of epoxy resins, layered composites with glass fiber reinforcement with random fiber direction were produced. The composites were produced by hand lamination using the same type and distribution of reinforcement and two different types of epoxy-glass resins: EPO 652 and EPIDIAN® 6. Comparative tests were carried out on samples of two variants of materials. A static tensile test and Brinell hardness measurements were carried out on the produced variants of composite boards.
