Abstract
Introduction. The article reveals the psychological and pedagogical features of the use of information and communication technologies in the process of learning the Ukrainian language. Purpose. The article aims to reveal the psychological and pedagogical features of the use of information and communication technologies in the process of learning the Ukrainian language. Methods. Theoretical methods of analysis and generalization of scientific literature, systematization, and generalization of the received information were used. Results. The unique capabilities of modern ICT tools are characterized, by the implementation of which creates prerequisites for the intensification of the educational process, as well as the creation of methods focused on the development of the acquirer's personality: immediate feedback between the user and computer technology; computer visualization of educational information about objects or regularities of processes, phenomena, both real and «virtual»; automation of the processes of computing information and search activity, as well as processing the results of an educational experiment with the possibility of multiple repetitions of a fragment or the experiment itself; automation of the processes of informational and methodological support, organizational management of educational activities and control over the results of assimilation. Originality. The main types of generated computer educational programs are disclosed, which include: tests using the multiple choice technique with one or several options for correct answers, texts with various possibilities of providing support to the user, and linguistic games (crosswords). The specifics of distance learning are highlighted, the advantage of which is that it provides an opportunity to learn the Ukrainian language for persons with disabilities, and persons living in remote and hard-to-reach areas. The advantages of multimedia technologies have been proven. Conclusion. The use of ICT in teaching the Ukrainian language opens up opportunities unattainable by other traditional means. But at the same time, the computer is and will always remain only a database, and to gain knowledge from it, as from any other database, a teacher is needed. The learning process based on modern ICT will increase the intellectual potential and the general computer literacy of the students and will create a basis for the creation of intellectual and innovative products, and a powerful economy, which is a perspective for further research of the specified problem.
