Abstract

Wireless communication systems have become an integral part of our daily lives, providing us with the ability to communicate wirelessly with each other and with our electronic devices. However, wireless communication is subject to many challenges, including multipath fading, which is the phenomenon where multiple signals from the same source take different paths to the receiver, resulting in the signal being distorted or even lost. This can have a significant impact on the reliability and quality of wireless communication systems, making it important to investigate the effects of multipath fading on these systems. The purpose of this research is to investigate the effects of multipath fading on wireless communication systems. The study will begin by providing an overview of the concept of multipath fading and the different types of multipath channels that exist. It will then go on to discuss the impact of multipath fading on wireless communication systems, including the effects on signal strength, signal quality, and signal reliability. In order to investigate the effects of multipath fading, the research will conduct a series of simulations using MATLAB software. The simulations will be designed to replicate different scenarios and environments where multipath fading is likely to occur, such as indoor and outdoor environments, and will use different types of multipath channels to explore the effects on the wireless communication system. The study will analyse the data collected from the simulations and compare the results to theoretical models and existing literature on the topic. This will allow for an evaluation of the accuracy of the models and the effectiveness of different techniques for mitigating the effects of multipath fading. The findings of this research will have important implications for the design and implementation of wireless communication systems. The study will provide insights into the factors that contribute to multipath fading, allowing for the development of more effective techniques for mitigating its effects. This could lead to the development of more robust wireless communication systems that are better able to handle the challenges of multipath fading
