Abstract

The prevalence of diabetes continues to increase globally, and the need for continuous blood glucose monitoring has become increasingly crucial in managing the disease. Traditional methods of blood glucose monitoring require constant pricking of the skin to obtain blood samples, which can be painful and inconvenient for patients. In recent years, wearable devices have emerged as a promising solution to this problem, providing continuous monitoring without the need for invasive procedures. The aim of this project is to design and implement a wearable device for continuous blood glucose monitoring. The device consists of a sensor that is worn on the skin and measures the glucose level in the interstitial fluid, which is the fluid that surrounds the cells in the body. The sensor transmits the data to a microcontroller, which processes the data and sends it to a smartphone application via Bluetooth. The smartphone application displays the glucose level in real-time, and can also send alerts to the patient or their healthcare provider if the glucose level falls outside a predetermined rang
