Abstract
The use of wireless sensor networks is growing across several industries, including security, healthcare, and environmental monitoring. These networks are made up of tiny sensor nodes that gather information and send it to a centralised base station. The limited energy and computing power of the nodes makes routing in WSNs a difficult task. Several routing protocols for WSNs have been developed to address this problem. These protocols make sure that data is transmitted effectively while minimising energy use and extending network lifetime. However, the effectiveness of these protocols may differ based on a number of variables, including network size, topology, and traffic patterns. To choose the most appropriate protocol for this situation, it is critical to analyse the performance of several routing protocols.
