Abstract

Visible Light Communication (VLC) is an emerging technology that enables wireless data transmission using light waves. VLC has the potential to revolutionize the way we transmit data, particularly in indoor environments. Unlike traditional wireless communication systems that use radio frequency waves, VLC systems use visible light as the carrier signal, which has several advantages such as increased security, reduced interference, and availability of the spectrum. In VLC systems, modulation techniques are used to embed data onto the light signal. Modulation techniques play a crucial role in determining the performance of the VLC system. This paper presents an analysis of the performance of different modulation techniques for VLC systems. The analysis is conducted using simulation software that models the VLC system and measures the performance metrics such as Bit Error Rate (BER) and Signal-to-Noise Ratio (SNR) for each modulation technique. The simulation results are then analysed to determine the optimal modulation technique for VLC systems
