Among these measures are the Water (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, the Air (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, and the Forest Conservation Act, to cite a few. The effectuation of these environmental edicts has engendered a momentous outcome on sustainable development in India. The implementation of environmental laws has contributed to the decrease in pollution levels, preservation of natural resources and biodiversity, and enhancement of citizens' quality of life. The Air (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act's induction led to the establishment of air quality surveillance stations in major cities, resulting in a drop in air pollution levels.
