Abstract
This research aimed to identify the functioning of Early Childhood Education schools during the COVID-19 pandemic, using exploratory methodology. The methodology in-volved reading materials produced by the Municipal Department of Education for meth-odological guidance to schools for educational assistance in the Early Childhood Edu-cation stage. Additionally, the analysis included documents and forms made available by the Training Team of the Municipal Education Secretariat of Colatina, and the Op-erating System adopted by the Municipal Secretariat of Colatina for the compilation of network data and production of documents. The analysis of the cited documents was based on the observation of plans and actions taken for the effective functioning of schools. The research carried out indicates that the guiding documents analyzed were essential in carrying out the pedagogical actions necessary to maintain the provision of schooled education for the Early Childhood Education stage.
