The article examines the role of intellectual and literary and artistic associations of Ukrainian culture of the second half XVII of the first half XVIII century in the formation of Ukrainian national identity their role in the organization of the cultural process of the Baroque era is studied taking into political intellectual confessional and cultural history of Ukrainian.
