Abstract
An analogy is described between the distribution function of the determining parameter of the measuring instrument and the temperature distribution function in a homogeneous infinite and semi-infinite rod. The parameters of the thermodynamic and metrological model are analyzed. The construction of a heat map of the temperature distribution is given.
