he article deals with the concepts of "addiction", "addictive behavior", signs of addictive behavior among employees of the penal enforcement system, the specifics of the official activities of the employees of the penal system are given and the personal characteristics of employees of institutions and bodies of the penal system that contribute to the formation of addictive behavior are substantiated.
