Abstract
This article examines the features of psychological support of the employees of the criminal justice system enrolled in the personnel reserve, the relevance of the topic under study for the modern penitentiary system, the features of the preparation of psychological competence for managerial activities, the characteristics of the personality of the head that have the greatest impact on the effectiveness of official activity.
