Abstract
An important global problem, air pollution has a negative impact on both human health and the environment. Real-time air quality monitoring is necessary for efficient pollution control and public health. With its network of connected objects that can gather and share data, the Internet of Things (IoT) presents a promising solution. This study examines IoT deployment for air pollution monitoring, highlighting its benefits, difficulties, and prospective uses. There is discussion of various IoT-enabled sensors, data collection methodologies, connection protocols, and data processing methods. The paper also investigates how IoT might be combined with other technologies, such machine learning, to improve air pollution monitoring and mitigation techniques.
