Abstract
The state of women's health and wellbeing affects not just the individual woman, but also her loved ones and the larger community. When the mother of the home is healthy, at ease, and optimistic, the whole household benefits. For instance, Revital Woman has a high rate of acceptance among female consumers, and the company is pioneering a new market segment. Kellogg's low-fat cereal Special K, marketed specifically to women, has been a major contributor to the company's success. It's aimed squarely at women and designed to be a supportive companion on their weight loss journey. Danone has introduced milk shakes marketed towards females with photos of Cinderella on the packaging, and shakes aimed at guys with graphics of vehicles. After three months on store shelves, Danone's milk shakes are receiving "very" positive feedback from consumers. The Italian confectionery company Ferrero Rocher has released two versions of its Kinder Joy chocolate brand, targeting young ladies and young gentlemen respectively. The Protinex supplement line from Danone now includes Protinex Mama, formulated specifically for females.
