Religious and philosophical views of Dada Omar Rovshani and moral and didactic motives in "Miskinlikname"

Abstract
The oeuvre of Dada Omar Rovshani, an outstanding luminary of medieval Turkic literature, having served certain purpose in the development of religious and philosophical thoughts through his progressive ideas and also holding rich artistic heritage, appears to be very important in terms of studying the origins of XV century Azerbaijani-Turkish literature and literary language. In his works, especially in “Miskinlikname”, along with his sufi views, he put forward moral and didactic messages that illuminate the social landscape of the time and critiques that forewarn the people. The poet's artistic talent derived inspiration from and matured with the traditions of verbal folklore and classical poetry. Notwithstanding the poet used many complicated expressions, terms related to his religious and philosophical ideas, having an excellent command of Turkish, Arabic and Persian languages, he mostly used words coming from fluent spoken language relating love, daily life and words historically used in Turkic languages. Rovshani's use of verbal folklore, proverbs, sayings, a lively, simple vernacular in general attest his devotedness to people, their language, life and traditions. Despite Dada Omar Rovshani laid special emphasis to moral teaching in his Masnavis with regard to a number of aspects of daily life, the main themes were the divine love, the desire to be reunited with the truth, human, human's moralities, thoughts about life and description all of these. This article has all respects to the said issues. Along with liveliness and sincerity in the language and spirit of Dada Omar Rovshani, originated from verbal folklore, his deep sufi, moral and philosophical beliefs have been explained here in with examples. The poet's mindset, creative style, poetic harmony in the poems, general logical adequacy has been taken as the main criteria.
