Abstract
Key tendencies of the investment activity of the insurance companies in the developed countries are studied. Investment strategies of the insurers in Great Britain, the USA, Germany, Japan, and France are analyzed. It is determined that the importance of the market model of financing is constantly growing for financial systems.
