Abstract

The main consequences of the occupation and hostilities in the Black Sea region of Ukraine are identified. The experience of recovery and development of countries with post-conflict recovery experience has been analysed. A number of differences in the conditions for restoring the functioning of the tourism industry in these countries and Ukraine are identified. The use of a systematic approach to studying the state of the Black Sea tourism industry has proposed. The necessity of classifying the processes in the tourism industry system that occur under the influence of war and establishing the state of change or transformation is proved. This approach has proposed to be used to determine the direction of tourism recovery, which may involve the development of adaptation measures or the formation of a new concept for the development of the Black Sea tourism industry. The differences in the state of tourism facilities depending on the impact of military aggression are emphasised. It is recommended to use the consideration and study of the state of tourist facilities at the local level, in particular, within urban areas characterised by urban landscape disruption. The necessity of revising the historical basis of the hybrid form of the Black Sea tourism industry in the direction of changing historical accents has determined. Attention has been focused on the importance of focusing on the formation of collective memory as the basis of the identity of social groups that have experienced traumatic events. It is noted that the proposed approach to the development of tourism in urban areas is based on the principle of self-organisation, the effectiveness of which has been proven by the experience of the tourism industry in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The necessity of conducting field studies of the economic, environmental and social status of the de-occupied territories has proved, which will help to identify the factors influencing the development of the tourism industry. It is proposed to conduct research on the ecological state of the nature reserve fund, recreational areas and the Black Sea coast in the post-war period. It has recommended to conduct a survey of the local population in order to establish the level of perception and readiness to produce new forms of tourism products, which will reduce the risks of conflicts, social tension and the formation of a negative image of the territory as a whole.
