Although children are less affected and have a lower risk of developing complications related to viral infection, there is actually no evidence that they, more difficult to limit in contacts, cannot act as vectors, in particular asymptomatic; and also, an increase in the frequency of children with Kawasaki disease has been reported, especially in the areas most affected by the epidemic.
