Abstract

Kemalist philosophy, in principle, has an important potential to establish a climate of peace, prosperity, peace and trust in society. In line with the principles it has adopted, Kemalism is like a sheltered fortress against ethnic and sectarian discrimination, ignoring a part of the society and silenced, and all kinds of imperial, domination, assimilation and rejection policies, because Kemalism describes a cultural unity and represents pluralism rather than a homogeneous definition of ethnicity. That's why, Kemalist thought represents an encompassing and inclusive paradigm as the guarantee of a secular, democratic and social state of law. In this context, the aim of this study is to carry out an original assessment upon discussions and exploits over Kemalism, which is the founding philosophy of the Republic of Türkiye, while complying with the limits of criticism and humiliation, without falling into the trap of exaggeration and insult, and by avoiding unnecessary praise and satire, regarding the enlightened and visionary personality of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk. This study is a hermeneutic qualitative research. All documents and publications used in the research are secondary data sources obtained by the literature review technique.
