Abstract
There is an increase in demand for cost effective and reliable launch vehicles. The commonly used and simplified vehicles are Two-Stage to Orbit (TSTO) launch vehicles which are opted for their relatively simpler design with respect to higher stage vehicles. The aim of this paper is to understand the significance and conceptual designing of a TSTO launch vehicle by studying various design parameters relating to gravity turn trajectory using a MATLAB model capable of creating a 2D simplified trajectory of the vehicle using the constraints of design and dif erent design inputs. The designed TSTO of our consideration uses a liquid propellant engine for both the stages which has an advantage of reusability and easy manufacturing.
