Abstract

The article defines the relevance of the problem of ethno-cultural orientation, substantiates the essence of the concept, the principles of ethno-cultural orientation in the educational institution. The implementation of the construction of the educational process regarding the ethno-cultural orientation in the educational institution was considered according to the following principles: inclusion in a single ethno-cultural tradition, the transition from national culture to the knowledge of the cultures of the peoples living together in the country and the adoption of world cultural values, the dialogue of cultures. Attention is paid to the formation of the foundations of ethnic culture, as one of the important tasks of personality formation, which is realized under the condition of creating a cultural and educational environment, the enrichment of which contributes to the development of the personality on the spiritual and moral basis of universal values, taking into account the peculiarities of ethno-traditions and national ideals. The article is devoted to revealing the degree of research into the development of ethnocultural competences of heads of educational institutions. Attention is drawn to learning the culture of the ethnic group at school age, which enables a better understanding of national traditions, language, and gives children the opportunity to become bearers of their own national culture. The content highlights the results of the theoretical analysis of the current problem of the scientific search for the ethno-cultural origins of school education, the enrichment of the ethno-cultural environment. It is emphasized that finding modern effective means of forming the foundations of ethnic culture is possible thanks to the creation of organizational and pedagogical conditions for the development of the ethnocultural potential of the teaching staff and the use of modern information and communication technologies. The content of the article reveals the scientific and practically oriented orientation of scientific works on ethno-cultural problems of school education development, highlights the approaches of introducing new ethno-cultural knowledge into the educational process of general secondary education institutions and professional training of teachers.
