The image of Grigory Melekhov is a psychological find of the writer (based on the novel by M.A. Sholokhov "The Quiet Don")

The article analyzes the image of Grigory Melekhov, the main character of M.A. Sholokhov's novel "The Quiet Don". The author examines the psychological depth of this character, his development throughout the work, as well as the reflection in his image of the social and political changes taking place in Russia at the beginning of the XX century. It is concluded that Sholokhov's literary find consists in creating a hero who evokes sincere empathy and empathy in the reader.
