ACCOUNTING OF INVESTMENTS IN HUMAN CAPITAL: THEORETICAL AND METHODOLOGICAL ASPECTS

Abstract
The purpose of the article is to determine the possible directions of investment investments in the formation of human capital, to study the theoretical and methodological aspects of the problem of accounting reflection of investments in human capital. Theoretical approaches to determining the economic essence of investments in human capital in modern conditions of economic development are considered. The article analyzes the essential characteristics of the concept of «investing in human capital» enterprises and individuals formed on the basis of the analysis of foreign and domestic works. It presents a variety of points of view of scientists on the definition of the concept of «human capital investment». The definition of investment in human capital is proposed as the investment of money in improving the intellectual and physical abilities of a person in order to increase the productivity of his work, which will allow to obtain a significant material and non-material effect, both for the person himself, for the company and the country as a whole. The main sources of investment in human capital are identified and analyzed, namely: personnel training, retraining and advanced training. Approaches to the grouping of expenses related to the formation, use and development of human capital of the enterprise that meet the needs of accounting are proposed. The expediency of displaying in the enterprise's accounting system the costs arising in the process of formation, use and reproduction of the human capital of employees is substantiated. Proposals were made to improve the chart of accounts for consideration of investments in human capital and the right to use human capital as an accounting object. The procedure for accounting operations related to the formation, use and development of human capital in the system of accounting accounts in accordance with the recommended methodology is given.
