Abstract
Factors that induce a prolonged first stage labor include problems with the cervix, uterus, fetus, mother's pelvis, fear, and anxiety which trigger the release of adrenaline and lead the cervix to stiffen. (1) The rebozo technique is a non-pharmacological approach to pain management during labor. Research method --- This type of quasi-experimental research with a two-group intervention and control design used the SOP rebozo technique, observation sheets, and partographs to determine the duration of the active phase of the first stage of labor in primigravida mothers. The research was carried out in the Working Area of the Cipaku Health Center, Bogor City in June-August 2023, among 28 respondents of primigravida mothers during the first Active Phase, with 14 respondents in intervention group and 14 respondents in control group. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling. Data analysis techniques employed prerequisite tests (normality and homogeneity) and statistical tests used the simple paired t-test or the Wilcoxon rank test. With a significance value through the Mann-Whitney test of 0.040, it can be concluded that Ha is accepted and Ho is rejected, thus the use of the rebozo technique is effective in accelerating the length of the first active phase in primigravida mothers
