The Predictive Ability of Self-Concept and Parenting in the Emergence of School Bullying among Students with Learning Difficulties in Jordan

Abstract
This study aims to identify the predictive ability of the slef concept, and the parental upbringing in the appearance of school bullying among students with learning difficulties in Jordan. To achieve the aims of the study, the correlative descriptive approach is adopted. The study sample included (88) male and female students with learning difficulties from second grade to sixth grade of primary school level in the public school at Zarqa Governorate in Jordan. The researcher used parental upbringing measure, bullying measure, and self concept measure as tools to collect data after verifying its psychometric properties related to validity and reliability. The study arrived at the following results: 1. There is a statistically significant negative relationship between self estimation and school bullying among students with learning difficulties in all dimentions and in the total degree, in addition to a statistically siginificant positive relationship between the dimension of authoritarian upbringing and the dimension of loose upbringing and between school bullying by students with learning difficulties, and that there is a statistically significant negative relationship between the dimention of democratic upbringing and school bullying by students with learning difficulties. 2. There is a statistically significant effect in the predictive ability of the self concept and the parental upbringing on school bullying in the dimention of academic self concept, which is followed by the dimention of moral self concept among the study sample. In light of the results the study recommends the necessity of preparing training programs to limit the level of bullying by students with learning difficulties.
