LEGAL PRINCIPLES OF THE FORMATION OF THE SOCIAL-VALUE NEEDS OF MILITARY OFFICERS OF THE ARMED FORCES OF UKRAINE

Introduction. The functioning of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the current conditions puts on the agenda the issue of increasing the level of motivation of military personnel involved in repelling the full-scale armed aggression of the Russian Federation. Most of the military personnel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine were formed in a civilian professional environment and were not able to sufficiently internalize the values inherent in military teams. This determines the relevance of this article, which is devoted to clarifying the essence of the legal principles of formation of social and value needs of the military personnel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Purpose. The purpose of the article is to define the legal principles of formation of social and value needs of the military personnel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Materials and methods. The research materials are: 1) regulatory and legal support for the education of servicemen; 2) scientific works of domestic specialists in the field of administrative and military law. In the course of the study, the following scientific methods were used: analysis and synthesis (to distinguish the legal component in the system of formation of the value sphere of servicemen), structural method (to distinguish the types of legal principles), modeling method (in defining certain concepts and content of legal principles for the formation of value needs of servicemen), and synthesis method (for formulating conclusions). Results. The article defines the role of the principles of formation of servicemen's values as the main foundations for the emergence of their stable personal constructs which characterize their attitude to the world, homeland, military duty, and determine the specifics of their motivational sphere. The author proves that the legal principles of formation of social and value needs of servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine are a complex multi-level formation which includes at least two groups: general legal principles and special legal principles. The special legal principles include: the principles of purposefulness, collectivism, unity of command, and military leadership. Their concept and content are characterized. It is concluded that these principles are legally embodied by being enshrined in the legal acts regulating military service, as well as in the requirements of corporate military ethics. Discussion. In further scientific research, it is proposed to focus on the legal methods of forming the social and value needs of the military personnel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. This will make it possible to study the legal mechanism of educational influences.
