Abstract

The article highlights the results of a bibliometric analysis of articles in the insurance field indexed by the Scopus database from 2000 to 2023. According to its results, it was determined that research in this field includes a wide range of topics and scientific directions. They cover issues aimed at improving the theoretical understanding of this field and developing practical solutions to ensure financial stability and social support in various segments of society. It was found that the most significant number of research articles concentrated on issues related to risks and their assessment in the insurance sector. Research in this area is aimed at understanding risks, developing mathematical models, and developing risk management tools. Significant scientific achievements are available in the field of social insurance, in particular unemployment insurance and health insurance. Scientists determine the importance of unemployment insurance for social support and solving problems in the labor market. Research related to health insurance includes issues of health care management and public health care programs. An important area of research includes the analysis of consumer behavior and income in the insurance context. Research in this area helps better understand how households make financial decisions and choose financial protection strategies using insurance instruments. According to the results of the time dimension of the bibliometric analysis, it was established that research in the field of insurance develops to changes in the global financial and social situation, reflecting essential trends in the modern world. Current research in insurance includes analysis of risks and opportunities related to digital transformations, climate change, social issues, and behavioral aspects of consumers. They contribute to the further development and improvement of insurance products and services for various segments of society.
