Abstract
The article is devoted to the study of existing business processes and their impact on the development and achievement of the main goals in IT companies. The concept of «business process management» or Business Process Management is revealed. An analysis of the essence of business process management, how business processes affect leadership positions in the organization, was carried out. The methods of managing business processes in the IT sphere, a set of tools and techniques used in determining the effectiveness of business process implementation have been studied. It has been established that the question of effective management of business processes has arisen for a long time and for the successful conduct of business and the achievement of the main goals and objectives of companies, the main necessary component is the development, modeling of the application of business processes with their adjustment as a separate component of the effective work of the department team, and the need the combination of teams of different departments and business processes in departments among themselves for the rapid and progressive achievement of development and financial well-being. The advantages of applying business processes for developing a business are summarized. It was found that special indicators and metrics were developed to calculate the effectiveness of business process management over the world, which in their turn have a non-exhaustive list and can be expanded in accordance with the sphere of activity of companies and their departments. The article presents the advantages of using indicators to manage business processes, as well as summarizes the metrics used by modern companies, including the IT business.
