Abstract
The basic trends in economic and social development of the regions of Ukraine are analyzed. The imbalance in the formation of interests of business and local communities is determined, which, on the one hand, leads to increased social tensions and, on the other hand, to limitation of opportunities for business development in the regions. The directions of convergence of business interests and interests of local communities, ways for improvement of the social responsibility of business are proposed.
